In 2003, Ms. Vy Nguyen obtained her Bachelor of Science in Political Science/English Studies from the University of Houston. During law school, she served as a judicial clerk for the Texas First Court of Appeals. In 2007, Ms. Nguyen obtained her Juris Doctorate Degree with Honors from TSU-Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
In 2017, Ms. Nguyen became an Adjunct Law Professor at TMSL and has taught “Trial Simulation” and “Professional Responsibility." She is the current Clinical Professor at the TMSL Immigration Legal Clinic and also teaches in the “Masters of Law (LLM) in Immigration” Program.
Ms. Nguyen has been appointed by the Texas Supreme Court to serve on The Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee.
She is a devoted mother to her son, who is currently in High School.
Ms. Nguyen's career and motherhood story is chronicled in a book entitled “Legally Mom: Real Women's Stories of Balancing Motherhood and Law Practice” written by Anne Murphy and published by the American Bar Association.
