Burglary of Habitation on Probation

Client was on a 10 year felony probation for 1st degree Possession of Controlled Substance, Burglary of Habitation, and Felony Evading Arrest -detention with Vehicle when getting charged with a new 2nd degree Burglary of Habitation. Range of punishment for the new 2nd degree charge is from 2-20 years in prison.
Motion to Revoke probation was filed and although the client had 6 prior felony convictions, since they were served in a State Jail, the punishment was not enhanced.
Plea agreement reached for 7 yrs to run concurrent with what is now the remaining probation that was reduced to 8 yrs.
